Authors of the 20th Century

Immediately after the cease of the Second World War the society commenced to think that the world’s main rules are plain and justifiable . Both general politics and social relations were relying on the principles of development, good changes , trust in science , enlightenment , technical innovations , and the ability to ground any activity from a logical standpoint . Nevertheless , starting from the second half of the 60’s, the world has begun to deteriorate and currently , 40 years thereafter , we live in a new kind of existence .
We effortlessly mark all changes which are brought to us by new technology, but we barely come to realize the fact that there are concrete ideas which the author has put behind those inventions . The essence of the future change was first found by those people, who as a rule lived anteceding their time – poets and authors. Among the many authors whose masterpieces have served for pleasure , there have been a few who have given the planet a new vision . They have better than others other authors molded and worded fresh suggestions and have ultimately done a new intelligent and emotional grounding of the future. They have found challenges in the mundane of our lives and have opened a number of problems, which were existing without being noticed . They have aided us to become aware of the new issues , and have given us new ambitions .
These were the authors who have determined the minds of the entire generation, which has observed the period of cardial change; change, which was seen as disarray at the beginning of the 21 first century. They have attracted our attention to the most problematic problems of the last era ; those questions , which the people , having gone through the global wars and unprecedented violence , was reluctant to deal with . Finally they were formulating the most critical issue “What will happen in the future”?

In this work we will specify some of the most famous writers of the 20th century. They have all greatly affected literature of their time, have depicted tendencies and problems which were relevant to their countries and the period they lived in, and have motivated the readers think about the existing set of moral, having them realize that it is far away from being genuine. One of the most fascinating feature of their work is that in mostly they have evoked the audience attention in books and written works. from this angle one of the most exciting success writings is that of a brilliant author Lewis Carroll .

The success of Joan Rowling can be called unique as she has become the first writer in the world to earn $1 billion by publishing fairytales. She is today spending a huge part of her money on charity, confronting poverty and diseases. The idea of the book was created while she was on the train from Manchester to London. When the publisher has first agreed to publish her book, she has given her 1500 pounds together with a kind advice — to look for a permanent job. He was doubtful of the fact that the young author would be able to make money of writing. Joann has showed the opposite - having written a number of exceptional fairytales, she has made the so-called non-reading people get back to reading books.

This paper is not able to name and more or less precisely list all writers who have made their gift to the today’s literature. They have been working and presenting ideas directly into the thoughts of the people, and therefore were influencing the future. Thus, as we can see, these writers were not creating for enjoyment only, but they were also playing a significant role in molding the culture and the sights of a civilization of the 20th century.
